Wanana is a peer prediction marketplace and skill-based social prediction game. People post real-world yes-or-no questions, the crowd sets the price, and whoever reads the moment correctly is paid from the pool when the outcome is verified. The platform does not play against users.
Who can use Wanana
You must be 18 or older. No exceptions.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details private.
One account per person.
Open beta and demo credits
Wanana is currently in open beta. Every balance on the platform is a demo credit balance (NGN_DEMO). Demo credits have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or withdrawn, and exist only to test the marketplace. Real-money features will only go live after licensing, identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering review, and payment review are complete. Identity verification will be required before any real-money feature is available to you.
What is not allowed
No markets about forex, stocks, shares, crypto, securities, investments, or any financial-market prices or movements.
No markets about harm to any person, private individuals' personal lives, or anything unlawful.
No manipulation: coordinated calling to distort a pool, multiple accounts, or exploiting verification gaps.
No abusive, hateful, or unlawful content in questions or discussion.
We may remove content, void markets, suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where a market is voided or cancelled, stakes are refunded to the balance ledger.
Wanana is operated as a game of skill. Nothing on the platform is investment advice, financial advice, or a solicitation to trade any financial product.
2. Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum we need to run the marketplace, and we treat it seriously.
What we collect
Account data: your email address and a username you choose.
Activity data: the markets you create, the calls you make, comments, and your demo balance ledger.
Verification placeholder: during beta, if you submit ID details, we keep only the ID type and the last 4 digits, never the full number.
How we use it
To run your account, settle markets, and keep an accurate balance ledger.
To send you service emails such as verification codes, market updates, and settlement notices. You can opt out of non-essential emails.
To keep the platform safe: fraud prevention, dispute review, and audit trails.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not show your email, balance, or private activity to other users. Leaderboards show your username and performance statistics only.
Data is stored with established cloud providers with access controls, row-level security, and audit logging. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us and we will action it, keeping only what the law requires us to keep.
3. Responsible Play
Wanana is a game of skill, and it should stay a game. Play within your limit.
18+ only. Wanana is not for minors, ever.
Set your own limits. Only stake what you choose and can comfortably lose, even in demo credits. The habits you build now are the habits you keep.
Take breaks. If it stops being fun, step away. The markets will still be there.
Never chase. A wrong call is information, not a debt to win back.
Ask for help. If play ever starts to feel like a problem, talk to someone you trust or reach a professional support service in your country.
When real-money features launch, they will include deposit limits, cool-off periods, and self-exclusion tools, and identity verification will be required first.
4. Market Rules
Every market must be a clear yes-or-no question about a real-world event with a public, checkable answer.
Every market must name an approved public resolution source when it is created (for example an official body, a government publication, or an established public record). Markets without a workable source are rejected.
Every user-created market passes through Wanana's review system before it goes live. Clear, low-risk markets may be approved automatically by the review engine; anything unclear or higher-risk waits for review by our team, and every review decision is recorded.
No forex, stock, crypto, securities, investment, or financial-market predictions of any kind.
Minimum call is ₦500 in demo credits. The crowd sets the price: the split of the pool between YES and NO is the market's live probability.
Market creators earn 1% of the settled pool. Wanana takes a 5% platform cut at settlement. The rest of the pool is shared by winning callers in proportion to their stakes.
Markets that break the rules are taken down and voided, and all stakes are refunded through the balance ledger.
5. Dispute & Settlement Rules
Every result is verified. No payout happens on anyone's word alone.
Verification. When a market's event concludes, the market enters verification and the outcome is checked against the resolution source named when the market was created.
Proposed outcome. The verified outcome is recorded together with the source used and any notes, and the market enters a 48-hour dispute window. Every participant is notified.
Disputes. During the window, any participant can open a dispute pointing to public evidence that the proposed outcome is wrong. Our team reviews every dispute before settlement.
Settlement. Payouts are only possible after the 48-hour window closes. Winners are paid pro-rata from the pool, the creator reward and platform cut are applied, and every credit is recorded in the append-only balance ledger.
No winners. If the verified outcome has no winning calls, every stake is refunded in full.
Cancellation. If a market cannot be fairly settled (source disappears, event voided, rule breach), it is cancelled and all stakes are refunded in full.
Settlement decisions, balance adjustments, and dispute decisions are all recorded in an internal audit log.
